Vad är TangoLink?
TangoLink är en programvara och en kraftfull tjänst för tangofantaster och DJs. När den är installerad på din dator kan du direkt använda data som finns tillgänglig på El Recodo Tango Music för att automatiskt byta namn på och/eller tagga dina ljudfiler. Din tangosamling blir ren med exakta, pålitliga och konsekventa metadata. Det är också mycket användbart för att förbättra eller dubbelkontrollera din samling om du redan har angett rätt titlar, datum och orkesternamn på dina filer.
Baseras på kraftfull ljudidentifiering, processen är enkel och sparar mycket tid.
När det finns en korrigering eller en förbättring på diskografin (vanligtvis tack vare El Recodo Tangos internationella gemenskap), blir du informerad och håller din högkvalitativa samling uppdaterad.
Som DJ eller tangofantast behöver du förmodligen en specifik struktur för dina filnamn och taggar. Oroa dig inte, detta är helt anpassningsbart och enkelt att konfigurera tack vare flera förhandsgranskningar. Men om du inte är säker finns det standardinställningar tillgängliga som fungerar i de flesta fall.
Genom att använda TangoLink drar du också nytta av en avancerad upplevelse när du utforskar diskografier på El Recodo Tango Music, när du använder Tanda Builder eller utför avancerade sökningar.

För att använda TangoLink, registrera dig och skaffa ett TangoDJ-konto som inkluderar alla funktioner som finns tillgängliga på El Recodo Tango, plus 300 krediter/år, vilket är tillräckligt för regelbunden användning av TangoLink. Om du behöver mer, ingen oro du kan lägga till krediter allteftersom. Som en referens om du börjar, överväg mindre än 2000 krediter för att hantera en samling av ~4000 "användbara inspelningar". Du kan också redan ha krediter på ditt konto från ditt gamla bidragsgivarkonto.
- TangoLink spenderar:
- 1 kredit per lyckad ljudidentifiering.
- Endast 0,25 kredit per bidragsgivande identifiering eller uppdatering av redan TangoLinked filer.
Projektet
TangoLink är resultatet av många års arbete inom flera områden, särskilt datakällan El Recodo Tango Music och ljudigenkänning. Även om TangoLink redan bygger på en databas med flera miljarder poster, är det ett långsiktigt bidragsprojekt. Genom att använda det bidrar du till dess förbättring.
Många människor gjorde detta projekt möjligt, särskilt Ahmed Alami (algoritmer, arkitektur, TangoLink-mjukvara), Julien Libeau (algoritmer, servrar), Gregory Diaz (koncept, ljudinlärning, API, databaser) och alla bidragsgivare.

.mp3 .m4a .flac .aif .wav-filer stöds. Observera att wave-formatet inte är kompatibelt med id3-taggar så metadata kan inte läggas till dem.
Även om båda tjänsterna bygger på samma databas är ljudidentifieringen hos TangoLink ännu snabbare och mer tillförlitlig än hos Tango Scan.
Nej, det rekommenderas att du arbetar på en kopia av din samling eller har en säkerhetskopia.

Il semblerait que les tangos d'origine au format WMA V9.2 deviennent WMA V8 après avoir étés TangoLinkés.
Ce faisant le logiciel ne veut plus les lire contrairement à avant.
Faut il les transcoder par exemple en FLAC (pour ne pas perdre en qualité déjà moyenne) ?

TangoLink ne modifie pas l'audio, uniquement les métadonnées.
Concernant le format wma, bien que cela puisse fonctionner, nous ne le recommandons pas, que ce soit pour Tangolink ou même en général. D'autres formats existent, plus répandus et avec des performances équivalentes ou supérieures. Il me semble qu'il n''existe en réalité que les versions wma v1 et v2 et que tout le monde utilise v2 depuis que le format s'est répandu. A vérifier... et à mon avis 'v8' ou 'v9' ne te renseigne en rien sur l'audio, éventuellement sur la version de l'encodeur qui a généré le fichier.
Tu peux donc au choix, conserver le format wma sans te préoccuper de ce v8 v9 et sans modification audio, ou bien les passer en flac sans gain de qualité mais pour travailler avec un format peut-être plus répandu de nos jours (en tout que nous connaissons mieux). Par contre si tu réencodes en mp3, tu auras une perte de qualité audio (double compression).

It is a very common issue on Windows and it is a wrong message. TangoLink IS compatible. Disable your securities, reinstall TangoLink and give it all permissions.
If the issue is still present, remove the 2 files from this folder (C:\Users\ your name \.tangolink\bin) and replace them by these ones:

It should work better after that. Please confirm... :-)

Cela peut venir de plusieurs raisons:
1- une erreur, par exemple le fichier n'a pas pu être écrit à la fin du processus, par exemple si un autre soft accède au fichier
2- ça a marché mais ton soft ne lit pas bien le tag ou ne met pas à jour le résultat (réouvre le titre dans mp3tag pour être sur...)
Attention à tes patterns qui contenaient des Space et des dash_space redondants (je me suis permis de les corriger directement).
Repasse le titre à la moulinette, il devrait passer en 'Mise à Jour' et revérifie le tag commentaire...

Excellente question. Globalement l'objectif de TangoLink est de coller aux noms tels qu'ils sont dans la base Tango Music. Dans ce cas précis la parenthèse permet à la fois de retrouver le titre en cherchant Canaro, tout en différenciant les quintets de l'orchestre. Néanmoins il existe l'alias MailArtist_short qui élimine les infos entre parenthèses. Cela s'appliquera à tous les artistes principaux ayant des parenthèses.

Cependant le traitement abouti à une erreur qui correspondrait à un problème d'adaptation du logiciel Tangolink à mon PC sous Windows 10 ? Et pourtant je n'ai pas changé de PC depuis les derniers tango linkage (voir l'historique).

Il n'y a aucun souci de compatibilité avec ton PC. C'est probablement encore une sécurité du PC qui bloque TangoLink. Je te contacte en privé pour t'aider à résoudre ca, ce ne sera pas tres compliqué :-)

Hello Greg, I just installed TL newest version 1.2.14 for Windows, and ran it on a playlist (with Canaro Collecion Completa 114) plus some single titles. In switches to audio recognition for each title immediately and ends with 26 errors (i.e. zero songs were recognized). I noticed that the activation key was outdated, refreshed it, reran - but same result. Is there an issue with this version? The previous version (1.2.13) worked last time I tried.

Better use your internal disk rather that SD cards.
If the issue is still present, double check that ffmpeg file was well installed in C:\Users\ your name \.tangolink\bin It may not be the case if you securities geopardized tangolink installation. I also send you here the ffmpeg file to place in the bin folder: so we are sure it is not corrupted by any security setting.

Greg, I have quite a bit of work to do to update my collection to take advantage of recent improvements in the metadata. The e-mail you sent me identifies the firsts few tracks with the ERT number. However, when I click the link to see the full list the ERT isn't clearly shown. Is there any way to get a list of the tracks that need attention by ERT number please? I can't see a facility for me to arrange that myself.

I don't know the details of this protection (Apple does) but I would recommend working and spending time on audio files you purchased/own and can play on any device.

By subscribing to TangoDJ, I get 300 credits for Tangolink. What does this mean? That I may convert 300 files? I tried to Tangolink free trial, but after transferring a first Playlist, it already did not work any more (no more credits).

But the Email provided in my account is correct. To return to your answer to my question. Yes, i understand that I can buy credits. So, in addition to the 300 Credits I get for subscribing for a year, I will need to buy 5,000 credits to organize my whole library. This is significant and, as far as I understand, costs EUR 200. Ok, understood, other choices than buying credits I did not find. The software itself (once I understood how to fool the Mac firewall) is working very nicely, thank you for the excellent work.

Other ways to get credits are the quiz and lyrics annotations, and sponsorship, however none of these will get you to such amounts of credits as audio identifications requires several expensive severs to work for you. Hola Gregory, siempre he utilizado el mismo software para editar los TAGS (TagScanner) pero a partir de windows 10, por lo menos en España, cuando actualizaba un tag automáticamente este volvía a la información anterior, y es allí donde me enteré que por cuestiones de derechos de autor windows 10 no permitía modificar tags

Après avoir passé de nombreuses heures, j'ai enfin la plus belle des bibliothèques musicales. J'avais perdu toutes mes musiques et j'ai tout refait.... merci Gregory par le majestueux site EL-RECODO. C'est une mine d'or, tu peux en être fier. Ma bibliothèque musicale n'a jamais été si 'propre', tout est super bien classé avec TANGOLINK. J'adore ton site, je suis très admirative de tout ce qu'on y retrouve. Enfin, maintenant c'est les vacances, mais je pars avec une tendinite (tellement j'ai fais des clics pour renommer la musique) et les yeux bien fatigués, mais je suis heureuse de mon travail ! on the website? yes i do. and after downloading Apple says it doesn't recognise the developper and i accept and open TL anyway.. but still no way to login anymore and i have the message i told you about

I have tried loading Tangolink and I get this message: “TangoLink” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information. I have an iMac using macOS Monterey 12.1

Hi Andrew, the message appears because TangoLnk is not available on the appstore, however you can authorise it in your MacOS parameters and you are done. Best Regards

I have been discovering/using Tango Link for MacOs ( using catalina and Apple Musique) during the last days, at the beginning some strange things happened, but I understand now that it was totally due to Apple Music and the fact I did not completely understand the architecture of Apple Music, now I understand it and also, the way TangoLink and Apple Music interact with each other, it is fabulous.
To TangoLink 20 songs of one Album , it takes between 5 to 8 minutes
on some batches for the 20 songs, the system is asking me for 2 or 3, titles the ERT Number of the Tango.
Having the page of el-Recodo opened, not only I can find the ERT Nr, but in case there are two recordings from different years of the same song from the same Orchestra, I can identify the correct recording, listening my file and the extract from El-Recodo.
It is a Wonderfull application, The El-Recodo team did a fabulous job.
The combination with the database and TangoLink is an incredible step...

Highly recommended application for every Tango Dj, or any one with a large Tango library that wishes to update it with the correct information and organize it in an orderly manner. A big applaud to all the developers who made this project happen.

Je n’en pouvais plus de chercher les dates d’enregistrements et de renommer/'tagger' à la main mes morceaux de tango. Bref, TangoLink c’est l’application que j’attendais pour mettre de l’ordre automatiquement dans ma collection de morceaux. Pour info, elle donne aussi de meilleurs résultats que les applications de type shazam car elle n’est pas perturbée par le bruit d’environnement de votre pièce.
Si vous avez une belle collection de tango et que vous voulez y mettre de l’ordre, je ne peux que vous conseiller de l’utiliser .
